The Arizona Enneagram Association (AEA) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that strives to further the teachings of the Enneagram and build conscious community. Your support is critical to our being able to continue our mission to provide Enneagram-based educational programs and resources with integrity and reliability as well as opportunities in consciousness, interconnectedness, and higher truth while serving the human spirit. AEA 2018 FALL Workshop with Russ Hudson | November 10-11, 2018

Russ is back! Join us November 10-11, 2018: Awakening to Our True Minds: Nine Ways of Knowing & Experiencing Reality If you attended Russ’s workshop at the AEA in 2015 on Exploring the Higher Aspects of Being, you know how impactful it was and how beautifully Russ embodied the concept of Presence. This November, Russ will take us deeper into an exploration of the higher mental qualities of the Enneagram Types. While the heart remains central in human transformation; without clear thinking, and without recognizing our unconscious beliefs, the heart is hampered by old conditioning, prejudices, and even delusions. We often hear the spiritual cliché, “You don’t need your head—just follow your heart”. While our caring is important, it alone is not going to address the issues that we face as a society and as a world. We live in a time crying for clear thinking, radical new vision, and the ability to discover new ways of addressing complex problems. This workshop will focus on a clearer understanding of Mind, which will certainly entail the heart and the body, but which will also bring in the core, traditional Enneagram teachings of the Essence (or Spiritual) Qualities of the mental center – known as the “Holy Ideas”. You will learn: How Presence in the head center brings a deeper awareness of the unity (non-duality) of life How this awareness can be a direct experience that opens us to new choices and new freedoms The nine fundamental perspectives of the world when they are no longer distorted by a sense of separation How to connect the 9 higher states of Mind to the normal mental faculties needed to live, love and function well in our lives How, through our recognition and experience of unity, the groundwork is laid for something new to grow Being emotionally reactive is no substitute for being truly heartful, and the difference between these two conditions has a lot to do with our minds. All true realizations are an experience of seeing reality differently. When this occurs, we notice that what we previously believed was at least partially mistaken. So the process of awakening entails being awake enough to see what we have thought and believed, and to be available to a deeper level of mind, just as we seek to be available to a deeper level of heart. We will use teachings, exercises, music, and discussion to deepen our Presence and to explore the interface between our ego consciousness and the realms of freedom and vastness that are our True Nature.   RUSS HUDSON, co-founder, is one of the principal scholars and innovative thinkers in the Enneagram world today. He is President of Enneagram Personality Types, Inc. and co-Founder of The Enneagram Institute. He has been co-teaching the Enneagram Professional Training Programs since 1991, and is a Founding Director and former Vice-President of the International Enneagram Association. He is also co-author of The Wisdom Of The Enneagram, Personality Types (Revised Edition), Understanding the Enneagram (Revised Edition), Discovering Your Personality Type (Revised Edition), and The Power Of The Enneagram (audio tape) and co-author of The Awakened Company. He is on the Board of Advisers for the Enneagram Prison Project. Russ delivers workshops, trainings, and retreats across the globe to thousands of students. He holds a degree in...

Introductory Tour of the Types | November 9th from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.

Presented by Jaye Andres Have you ever wondered why others don’t see things the way you do? How we view the world and respond to it is based on the viewpoints of our personality types and the patterns formed by them, combined with our own unique “essential self”. What is the Enneagram (pronounced Any-a-gram)? It’s a powerful overview of 9 distinct personality types; each with its own strengths, challenges, motivations, and positive paths for growth. Taught worldwide, it crosses gender and cultural lines. What can the Enneagram do for you? Know yourself as never before; learn about others; enhance communication skills; make better decisions; resolve conflicts-internal and external; respond better to challenging situations; improve your relationships. In this 3 hour Introduction, in addition to an overview of the system, you will learn about the motivational core set- up of each of the nine types. And, since there’s no better way to learn than from the types themselves, you will hear from 3 exemplars of each type (via video). By the end of this introduction participants report that they have either found their type, or have it narrowed down to two. For those already familiar with the Enneagram this intro serves as a powerful review and delivers further understanding of the types. This class is $25 as a standalone class, or this class is included in the registration fee for our 2018 Fall Workshop with Russ Hudson, Novemver 10-11.     REGISTER TODAY | Click HERE EVENT DETAILS When: November 9, 2018 Time: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Where: Christ Church of Ascension (CCA) Episcopal Church | Location: Parish Hall | 4015 E. AEA Monthly Meetup

AEA Meetup You might wonder, “What is a “Meetup?” Wikipedia of course has an excellent definition: “Meetup is an online social networking portal that facilitates offline group meetings in various localities around the world. Meetup allows members to find and join groups unified by a common interest.” Help spread the word! Share our AEA Meetup Flyer with your family, friends, and clients! Each month a different topic will be explored. Mindfulness and the Enneagram led by Andrea Andress on November 15th. Do you direct your attention, or does your mind take you to far and distant flights of fancy? Mindfulness has become popular in the last decade and is known for stress reduction and helping people regain focus. The Enneagram as a Personality Tool recognizes specific patterns of thinking, feeling and acting. When the two elements combine, the individual’s inner observer is strengthened to create recognition and understanding of our own motives and desires. Out of that understanding, action can take place. Join us to explore how the two help us to become more consciously aware of ourselves, others and our surroundings. The presentation includes group discussion and practice. Save the date for our December Meetup which will be held on the 2nd Thursday on December 13th! Kathryn Grant will lead us in a discussion about the The Season of Giving. 3rd Thursday evening of each month from 6:30 p.m.- 8:45 p.m. Registration: Click HERE to register.
